Quan Yin, my little land whale, begging me not to put the dollhouse in the basement. Sorry, babe, we just don’t have the space!
My awesome pal Jenine and the art-book project. She bought me a blank book and sent it to me (she lives in Ohio); I filled it with art, which took about a year, and then mailed it back to her. Fantastic fun was had by all.
This is the other photo Jenine sent me of her holding the book after she got it. She’s showing off her awesomely cool new tattoos (which she got the day I sent her the book as a sort of connecting thread between us! Awesome!!!) alongside the drawings I did for the tattoos I want to get on MY wrists- Hydrogen and Helium mollecules. Because yes, I’m that much of a nerd.
A really fantastic old photo of my ancestor, Philetus Stewart- probably from between 1850-1872, pretty clearly a wet plate collodion print. I love the spitoon, the overflowing wastebasket, and the messy desk.
The only thing I bothered to scan from the book, A portrait of my cat. It’s not great but it took the longest to do. I spent 20 minutes to an hour for three to five days on this one- I can’t remember how long, but it took forever. And now I’m not even that thrilled with it. ha!
Man sleeping at the table outside of Paradise Bakery yesterday. It really doesn’t look like a very comfortable position.
25 weeks now, delightfully rotund, with breasts large enough to sustain the population of a small country
